What I Can Help With

Depression

Sadness, loneliness, and emptiness can happen for many reasons. When these feelings become too big and difficult to manage, someone may withdraw and feel isolated or unloved. Sometimes a person may lose hope that things can or will get better and feel that the world would be better without them. Others may turn to harming themselves.

Regardless of what is happening in your life, you are not alone. I can help you learn how to reengage in life and recognize that things can get better. You will be able to learn strategies to help you heal and have more good days than bad.

Anxiety

Worrying, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed are a typical part of life. However, these things can become overbearing and disrupt a person’s daily life. Someone can find themselves worrying about the safety of others, that something bad will happen, what others think of them, if their future is going to be good or bad, and about the past and if things could have been different.

People can sometimes experience anxiety or panic attacks where they feel like they have lost or are losing control of their bodies. They may experience chest pain, difficulties breathing, shaking, and nausea among other physical symptoms.

I can help you identify the source of you anxiety and learn skills and strategies to help reduce it. You can learn to “face your fears” and live without excessive worry and anxiety.

Trauma / PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Trauma can impact all areas of a person’s life from school/work performance, to relationships, to emotional struggles like anxiety, depression, or anger.

I can help you learn how trauma has impacted your life and teach you ways to move forward. Healing from trauma is a process that can be difficult and there is no set amount of time it takes to heal. I will be with you every step of the way to ensure your safety and provide support in this process.

Borderline Personality Disorder

When a person struggles with the fear of abandonment, mood swings, anger outbursts, impulsiveness, or unstable relationships, they may be struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder. Personality is the individual differences in patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. A person’s personality is developed and influenced throughout their childhood.

I can help you understand your feelings and learn to manage them better. I can assist you with learning how to develop your communication skills with others to improve your relationships.  There is no cure for Borderline Personality Disorder, but if you are ready to look at your inner self and make changes, you can live a healthier life.
