If you choose to use insurance, please check with your insurance company regarding your Mental Health Coverage, Deductible, and Co-pays. Every insurance company offers different plans and each plan varies in regards to Mental Health Benefits. I do my best to find out your coverage and benefits, however, clients are solely responsible for understanding and abiding by their Mental Health Coverage and Benefits. Client is responsible for Co-pays and service charges at the time of service. Every effort is made to collect insurance payments for services rendered: however, the client is solely responsible for service charges and any payments insurance companies do not pay.
If I do not accept your insurance, I can provide you with a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for “out-of-network” benefits. Please check with your insurance company about your out-of-network benefits.
Here are some helpful questions to ask when calling your insurance about coverage for counseling/therapy services:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the co-pay/coinsurance for a session?
Does my plan cover family sessions and/or family without the client sessions (parent sessions)?
Does my plan allow for telehealth sessions?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
I offer telehealth and office sessions
